Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God.
Who we are
Pilgrim Congregational Church, UCC is an inclusive, caring, and open-minded Protestant church, a member of the progressive United Church of Christ denomination. We recognize the value of all people in God’s diverse creation. We are an open and affirming church, and welcome all persons regardless of worldly condition, social status, ability, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and acknowledge him as head of the church. We work to do justice in this world, we love mercy and walk humbly with God. We allow each person to follow their conscience in relating the Christian faith to the modern world. We have no bishops or outside authorities, and the congregation operates as a democracy, voting on all issues of importance.
In today’s atmosphere of strident divisiveness, Pilgrim engages the teachings of Jesus in a thoughtful way, taking the Bible seriously but not literally. With acute awareness of the disparities in our society, Pilgrims continue to work for a just world for all.
