DO YOU READ BANNED BOOKS?  Are you appalled by the efforts of many school boards to ban books in schools?  Would you like to read and discuss some of those books with others who understand the dangers of book banning?

Pilgrim will host the first meeting of the BANNED BOOKS BOOK CLUB on Tuesday, January 30 at 7pm.  The book to be discussed is Toni Morrison's fascinating and beautifully-written novel  "The Bluest Eye," and the discussion will be facilitated by Karen Claypool.  We anticipate that other participants will want to choose titles and facilitate subsequent meetings.

 You are invited to join in the discussion and to bring friends who would also be interested.  Beforehand please read "The Bluest Eye," and come ready to add your comments and questions.
