Bible Study - Revelation

This will take place both onsite and via Zoom https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84732614593.

The Book of Revelation sits at the end of the Christian New Testament. For some Christians it is the most important book in their Bible. It is a book of violent visions. Despite it being written to a 1st century audience the book continues to be used throughout history to attack "heretics" and "sinners". This course seeks to present a Progressive Christian understanding. Outcomes from the course will help students gain a healthy understanding of the book and a Jesus who taught us to love, forgive and care for the “other”.

Using Elaine Pagels book "Revelations" and the text of the Biblical Book of Revelation over 8 Wednesday nights 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., beginning September 11 through October 30. Students are encouraged to purchase the book (available online through book sale outlets) but participation does not require that you have the book.
